Photoshop - Merging background layer with shape |
In this short tutorial I will show you a trick to merge background with shape ( drawn, text or any shape ). |
| 1. Open photoshop application. 2. Import any image from your hard disk. 3. Double click this image and click OK to convert this background into a layer. |
4. Draw a shape OR use shape tool and select any shape and draw above the background layer. |
6. Now here is the trick. Press alt key on the keyboard and slide the mouse cursor between the two layers in the layers palette. |
7. You will see the cursor change from hand to a mouse shape. |
| 8. Click once and you will have a merged shape. |
| PS : If you want to merge text with image then you will have to first rasterize the text layer. ;-) |
